Question 1

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

The free preview doesn't require an account. Just choose your path, answer honestly, and your results appear immediately. The full Mirror Test sets up a simple account so we can save your results and unlock your Growth Kit.

Question 2

Is The Mirror Test therapy?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a reflective identity tool, not therapy, not a diagnosis, not clinical care. Think of it as a mirror, not a prescription. A starting point, not a treatment plan. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988.

Question 3

What is a Mirror?

Accepted Answer

A Mirror is one of the 13 identity patterns at the heart of this test: strategies you built to survive, connect, and protect yourself. They are not diagnoses. They are mirrors. Named plainly, a pattern tends to feel recognizable fast, which is exactly why recognition on its own is not proof. Test it against your actual week before you believe it. Most people carry more than one.

Question 4

What do I get from the free version?

Accepted Answer

Your top 2 patterns, what they mean, a written reflection on what each pattern means for you, and your dominant Mirror Pair. The paid version adds a deeper look at all 13 patterns, the full per-Mirror insights, and your Growth Kit. Optional deeper pieces, like a personal letter to your pair, are available from your result page if you want them.

Question 5

Do I need to be religious to take this?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. The Core Mirror Test has zero religious framing. If your faith shapes how you understand yourself, how you hide, strive, surrender, or heal, the Faith Mirror Test is a separate path built specifically for that. Same 13 patterns, different language.

Question 6

How is this different from Myers-Briggs or the Enneagram?

Accepted Answer

Those tools describe who you are. The Mirror Test asks a different question: why you do what you do, and what it has been costing you. It is built around identity formation, the survival strategies you learned, not personality typology.

Question 7

What is The Mirror Test not?

Accepted Answer

It is not therapy. Not a diagnosis. Not crisis care. Not a measure of your spiritual maturity or your worth as a person. Your result is a mirror, not a verdict.

Question 8

How long does the Mirror Test take?

Accepted Answer

The free preview is 20 questions and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The full Mirror Test is 60 questions. There is no timer and no wrong pace. Answer from your first honest reflex rather than your most polished one, and it moves quickly.

Question 9

How accurate is it?

Accepted Answer

Accuracy depends on honesty more than cleverness. The test reads your first reflex under a little pressure, rather than the answer you wish were true. It has not been formally validated yet, so the honest answer is that we do not know how accurate it is, and we are running a study to find out. A result that feels true and a result that is true are not the same thing. It is a mirror, so it reflects what you actually bring to it.

Question 10

How does the Mirror Test decide my result?

Accepted Answer

Your result comes from the patterns you reach for first, scored by how often you chose each one out of the times it was offered. No personality boxes, no guesswork, and no AI deciding who you are. You can see exactly how it works, and what it does and does not claim.

Question 11

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Your answers are used to generate your result. The free preview needs no account at all; the full test uses a simple account so we can save your result and unlock your Growth Kit. You decide what you share, and the full details live in our privacy policy.
